More shower margin without the top model
8 Pro combines 62K output, up to 3.1 GPM and tighter temperature control for regular RV shower use.
More margin for daily showers
Higher flow supports larger RVs and colder incoming water better than the entry tier.
Keep delivery steadier at the fixture
Temperature control is designed to reduce noticeable swings when supply conditions remain within range.
Travel from campgrounds to mountain routes
High-altitude operation broadens where the heater can be used when propane and venting are correct.
Choose it for regular, higher-demand showers
The step up matters when cold incoming water or frequent use makes a lower-output heater feel tight.
The 62K platform adds recovery margin without moving to Ultra’s maximum flow.
Repeated daily showers benefit more from the added flow and control.
More burner output helps when incoming water needs a larger temperature rise.
Choose the door from the actual opening
Door options cover common RV water-heater openings when matched to the existing cutout and exterior trim.
Measure cutout, trim and utility routing
The listed wall opening, door coverage, propane, 12V, plumbing and vent clearance support installation.

Quick answers about 8 Pro flow, doors and power
Quick answers on door sizing, utilities, flow and winterization.
How do I choose the door size?
Measure the existing cutout and exterior trim, then choose the door variant that fully covers the opening.
Which former tank-heater openings does it support?
It fits many common replacements, but the cutout, exterior coverage, plumbing and venting must all be confirmed.
Does it need 120V power?
Ignition and controls use 12V DC; heating uses LP propane. No 120V supply is required.
Can I run two fixtures at once?
Available flow depends on inlet temperature, pressure and set temperature. Treat 3.1 GPM as a system maximum, not a guarantee at every campsite.
Does freeze protection replace winterization?
Freeze protection supports operation, while draining and winterizing protects the heater during unheated storage or freezing exposure.

Wonderful replacement of a
"Wonderful replacement of a 6 gallon tanked heater. I purchased this water heater September of 2023. I live full time in my motorhome so the heater gets used daily and I like long hot showers. It has been a great upgrade. At the time, I didn t have a clue about motorhome maintenance. But it turned out to be quite simple to install. Not necessarily easy, but simple. Both water lines were leaking so I replaced them. The propane line also had to be replaced because the old line was too long for the new heater. I purchased flexible lines, both water and propane lines, that were long enough to allow me to connect them before inserting the heater into the box. Wiring was simple. The color of the new heater wires matched the old wires. Following the instructions, I turned it on and it worked. The remote is simple. There is a power switch, a mode switch to change the display data from Fahrenheit to Celsius and two direction buttons to adjust the temperature minimum/maximum. There s enough cord on the remote to allow you to mount it inside the RV but as I don t have the need to make frequent adjustments and there s a water heater power switch already available inside my RV, I left the remote in the basement. The only issue I ve had is not directly related to the heater itself and I wouldn t even mention it but I thought this information might be helpful to someone else. The issue was that Fleetwood didn t put the heater inside the basement of my Bounder, they put it in an uninsulated box outside. So, in extremely cold weather the water lines can freeze. To rectify that situation I drilled a hole through the basement wall and into the heater box and ran a 2 vent from the furnace, which is right above the heater box. Now, Every time the furnace comes on it heats the box also. No more frozen lines. You can purchase 2 adapters a a flexible tube from Amazon. The only other thing I might recommend is to leave the backing paper on the putty tape. Apply the putty to the RV opening. The backing paper will prevent the putty from sticking to the mounting surface of the heater while still providing the weather seal required. That way if you ever need to remove the heater again you won t have to pry the mounting flange away from the wall. I hope you enjoy having your new heater as much as I have."
Works great and love
"Works great and love long hot showers in camper now"
This unit replaced my
"This unit replaced my suburban 6 gallon water heater from the factory. Quick note when installing I needed a few 1/2 per pipes to redo my hot side plumbing it was just a few inches short from the factory. Also you will need to turn on the LP button for eater anytime you want this system to work due to how it gets power from the coach. I see alot of ppl complaining their unit doesn't work when all they have to do is turn on the "propane button" on their electrical panel. This unit works and it works well. It also has a built in pressure regulator so u DO NOT have to go out and buy unnecessary pressure relief valves for this unit despite whatever everyone says online. I have had mine running for over 8 months multiple times a day and have had zero issues. Also you only need the hit water side on you do not need to "mix' the water with the cold like in most showers. Just set your temperature on the thermostat and turn on the hot water side."
works great no complaints. . reading

Amazing water heater. We
"Amazing water heater. We have not had any issues with hot water since installing. Love the feature of being able to change the water temperature. We absolutely hated the limited hot water we had with the old water heater. The installation was very easy. The shower capacity, We have been able to take showers without having to turn the water on and off."
Easy to install. Fired
"Easy to install. Fired up immediately. It's pretty straightforward, just remember to order the door kit for your RV if needed. We were able to get it installed and use our old covering with some adjustments to make it work until the kit arrives. Overall I'm impressed with it so far."
