Is 18K too much for every RV? Not every camper needs it. 18K makes the most sense for larger cabins, slide-outs, wide windows, hot regions, or older 13.5K/15K units that run constantly.
PTC vs heat pump? PTC is light supplemental warmth. Heat pump is the stronger built-in heating choice for broader shoulder-season comfort.
Can rooftop heating replace a furnace? No. PTC and heat pump models help with mild cold, but freezing conditions still call for a dedicated RV furnace.
Will it fit my RV roof? These models are designed around the common 14.25″ × 14.25″ RV roof opening, but confirm roof thickness, duct setup, clearance, and power before installation.
