Quick answers
When should I move up to 9 Pro?
Choose 9 Pro for a larger RV, heavier back-to-back use or when the mixing tank and 3.6 GPM platform better
match the household.
Which door size should I choose?
Use the existing cutout and trim dimensions, not the old tank capacity alone.
Can it provide continuous showers?
Yes, provided propane, water pressure and flow remain within the product requirements.
Add rooftop cooling or ducted heat selected for the RV roof, cabinet and utilities.
Balanced hot water for everyday RV travel
InstaShower 8 Plus delivers 55,000 BTU and up to 2.9 GPM for mid-size travel trailers, Class C motorhomes and households that use hot water regularly but do not need the 9 Pro mixing tank.
More shower margin than the entry model
8 Plus focuses on continuous showers, common replacement openings and enough output for everyday family use.
Replace tank recovery waits with continuous hot water
As long as propane, pressure and flow remain within the product requirements, the shower is not limited to six or ten stored gallons.
Use 2.9 GPM for regular family showers
It is aimed at regular shower use in travel trailers and Class C RVs without paying for the 9 Pro mixing tank.
Adjust burner output as water conditions change
Segmented combustion helps control heat output instead of forcing one fixed flame level across summer and colder travel.
Choose the door that covers the old opening
Choose 15 × 15, 15 × 18 or 18 × 18 based on the actual exterior coverage required.
The balanced choice for mid-size RVs
Its 2.9 GPM platform adds flow margin for regular family showers in mid-size rigs.
The output aligns well with common mid-size interiors and everyday shower demand.
It provides more flow margin for repeated showers and routine sink use.
Multiple door sizes support a cleaner tank-to-tankless retrofit.
Door options for common RV water-heater openings
Choose 15×15, 15×18 or 18×18 from the existing opening; the guide covers water, LP propane, 12V and venting.
Cutout, trim and utility requirements
The same heater can be ordered with several exterior door sizes for common replacement jobs.
- Minimum opening
- 13 × 13 in
- Door options
- 15×15 / 15×18 / 18×18 in
- Water pressure
- 14.5–116 PSI

Installed this to replace
"Installed this to replace a very loud three year old tankless. Install was pretty simple minus the wiring for the panel but that the manufacturer s fault. It is so quiet and heats up the water very fast. I would highly recommend this product!"
Well made. It was
"Well made. It was about 3/16" too wide. My RV guy had to take a saw to my RV sidewall to get it to fit. Installation went well other than that. The user manual does not explain well how this type of water heater works and how to manage with the controller. I took to YouTube videos and received good explanations. I do like that you can set one temperature for the hot water and it will always be exactly that temperature. BUT! I want to wash dishes in hotter water than I shower with. So I will have to change the temperature back and forth. One thing that is worth mentioning is the location of the control panel. My repair guy and I did not have any idea where it should go. He put it on the side of my bedroom cabinet, very near the location of the water heater. Turns out it should be in the bathroom! I had to set a temp, then leave the bedroom, go into the bathroom, run the water and decide if that was a temp I wanted. There was a LOT of back and forth from bedroom to bathroom. I will have someone move it to the bathroom as soon as I can. Even with those factors, it's a good product and I love not having to take military style showers now!"
Love the unit works
"Love the unit works great easy install little short in the wire for controller but other than that very pleased with the quality of the unite"
Works as advertised. . my
"Works as advertised. . my only complaint is I wish the controller had a longer wire . . it would make it mounting inside the Rv a lot better"
Best ever heater fact!
"Best ever heater fact! Unlike the heater that we got with the rv in purchase, fogatti worked instantly! Dometic has been nothing but disappointing! It never worked properly, the propane igniter needed fuse to be replaced and still never worked well, delays, no turning on at all at times! Instantly worked and temp to the point without water running out. The craziest thing is the domestic costs the same! No bypass valve, just winterize and forget! So far no issues ."
Great product seems to
"Great product seems to work well easy to install and customer service was prompt in answering any questions I had. I can definitely see more Fagatti products in my future as needed"
Amazing water heater. We
"Amazing water heater. We have not had any issues with hot water since installing. Love the feature of being able to change the water temperature. We absolutely hated the limited hot water we had with the old water heater. The installation was very easy. The shower capacity, We have been able to take showers without having to turn the water on and off."
Easy to install. Fired
"Easy to install. Fired up immediately. It's pretty straightforward, just remember to order the door kit for your RV if needed. We were able to get it installed and use our old covering with some adjustments to make it work until the kit arrives. Overall I'm impressed with it so far."
Second review and honestly
"Second review and honestly it s perfect! Instal was 20 minutes pop out and pop in! Removed the bypass valve as well! Just great!!!!"
This was one of
"This was one of the easiest upgrades that I did to my camper. Fairly easy out with the old 6-gallon tank and in with the InstaShower 8 Plus. I did install a water shutoff valve in line of the outgoing water (so that it didn't backfeed into the unit), but I already had the extra pex and crimp tools from some other changes I did. Wiring up was easy, fired right up and "just worked". The endless hot water was a welcome change to the typical camper showers we were used to. After a year with the unit - I needed to reach out to support, who went above and beyond to resolve my issue, quickly, hassle free, and I will certainly suggest the Fogatti unit and company to anyone looking to upgrade their hot water experience. Support was amazing to work with, thank you!"
